Graphic Designer and Production Artist
Vanessa takes projects from design to print and lays everything out using QuarkXPress or InDesign. She understands design software, the production process and print media of all types. She makes sure images are in the proper color mode, bleeds are accounted for, links correct, fonts and other assets are properly included in the project. She proofs and preflights work to ensure the quality of projects and reduce the chance of costly production errors. She makes sure brand guidelines and standards are upheld in each design or layout she creates. She is a skilled designer who can take initiative, resolve a wide range of problems and manage projects from start to finish. She has illustration and design skills and can incorporate original artwork into projects as a cost saving alternative to purchasing images. She's created collateral materials and presentations for corporate brands. Retail product catalogs, weekly circulars and direct mail for a national retail store. Brochures, books, periodicals, newsletters, invitations, reports and ads are all a part of her skill set. She can use PC or MAC systems, Adobe CS, Microsoft Office and can quickly learn company email and database systems.
